As owner and broker of BOLD MOVeS Real Estate, I believe the success of our company has been a result of commitment to people and doing “the next right thing”. Denise Higgins- Reuter and I began this company because we believed that people should have options with selling and buying Real Estate and be empowered to make the best decision for themselves.

I am the Director of Development and Training for BOLD MOVeS Real Estate, which means that I now dedicate my days to enriching the professionalism of our associates via training and coaching as well as develop methods to utilize the growth on the “WEB”. I am a techie geek!

My commitment to service starts with my family. Married to Dan MacGregor for 19 years, we have three children; Connor, Mariah and Martha. I have been a school volunteer, a religious education instructor, sports coach, member of SouthCoast Serves and on several commitees in town; most recently the Rochester Memorial School Building Committee. I am also involved in the local Real Estate Board, specifically as Finance Committee at the Greater New Bedford Association of Realtors,and as Treasurer to the Board of Directors.I also am a member of the Government Affairs Committee and Community Service Committee. I am also a member of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, their Member Retention Subcommittee, Technology Committee and Strategic Planning and the National Association of Realtors.

With a passion for learning, I have advanced credentials for Real Estate. I am an Accredited Buyers Representative, e-Pro, Loss Mitigation Certified Specialist, a certified Paralegal and a Certified Teacher of Real Estate. We have two Real Estate School,online Real Estate Training and have many learning opportunities available. I am a graduate of Old Rochester Regional High School, University of New Hampshire and advanced studies at Northeastern University.

I recently graduated from the Massachusetts Association of Realtors Leadership Academy, a year long program designed to produce stronger leaders. The bigger picture became a focus of mine, and I am advocating for Home Owner’s needs and becoming active in the Realtor Party- committed to protecting Home Owners and their rights. Seeing the devastation of losing one’s homes and struggling to recover in this economy and in conjunction with boldday.com, we now offer Free Coaching for those people who have been affected by this loss.

In March 2009 my father passed away and I was appointed Executrix of his estate. Living in North Carolina and having practiced real estate in the past, I knew it would be a daunting task to sell the family home in Massachusetts, particularly in the worst selling market of our time. I set out on-line to begin interviewing agents and must have read about 20-30 bio’s when I saw a name that I knew, “Lanagan”. I looked more closely at the photo and it was Kate. I knew who she was from High School so I rang her up. We caught up a little and over the next few weeks we talked about the special needs of the estate. I interviewed two other agents but I felt really at ease with Kate and so I went to Massachusetts to show her the property. She was very knowledgeable and I felt confident that she would be able to get the best price possible. We listed the property and I returned home with a load lifted. After selling the property, I can only look back and say to myself what a blessing it was to find her.
Throughout the sales process, she consistently reevaluated the market and always’ kept me updated. There were numerous obstacles that dealt primarily with it being an estate property and my being half way across the country but she was there every step of the way, even at times I didn’t want to be myself. She was my eyes, my ears and sometimes my hands. She understood, she under promised and she over delivered. Kate and her Bold Moves Team, who by the way, found the buyer, provided exceptional service above and beyond what any seller could ask for. From mowing the lawn to arranging the final cleanout and ensuring that the state mandated fire detectors were installed, it was said and it was done. And if that weren’t enough, she acted as my Power of Attorney on the transaction.
